Electronic Specifier is pleased to announce that KYOCERA AVX has been honoured with its prestigious Electronics Excellence Award at embedded world 2024.
The Electronics Excellence Award ceremony was held at the Electronic Specifier booth on April 9th at 2pm during embedded world.
KYOCERA AVX clinched the award for its outstanding innovation showcased in its 9002305L0 – UWB LDS Antenna.
Accepting the award is Carmen Redondo, Director of Global Marketing Antennas at KYOCERA AVX.
In response to the win, Paige West, Managing Editor of Electronic Specifier, commented, “Congratulations to Kyocera for their remarkable innovation. The judges were impressed by their work, setting new benchmarks for the industry. This achievement is well-deserved.”
Visitors are encouraged to meet the KYOCERA AVX team at embedded world, booth 329 in hall 3, to learn more about their award-winning UWB LDS Antenna.
KYOCERA AVX’s 9002305L0, also known as the ‘Tulip’, is engineered for both on-board and on-ground (operational over metal) applications, specifically optimized for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) frequencies ranging from 6.0 to 8.5GHz. Fabricated using Laser Direct Structuring (LDS) technology, this approach enables the creation of intricate three-dimensional pattern designs. With compact dimensions of 6.40 x 6.40 x 5.52mm, the antenna is suitable for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly. Its design aims to deliver an omni-directional radiation pattern and consistent phase distribution across the antenna, enhancing the accuracy of UWB systems.
The 9002305L0 antenna exhibits exceptional Group Delay and Phase distribution, resulting in improved Phase Difference of Arrival (PDoA) accuracy. This enhancement supports advanced system-level services such as Angle of Arrival (AoA) and Time of Flight (ToF), thereby maximizing device localization precision and ensuring secure communication with the device. The antenna is ideally suited for UWB applications including smart access, indoor asset tracking, and automotive uses.
